Sewing Project

Diane Turner - 3/14/2017

The Auxiliary of Post 1071 has taken on the project of making 50 bibs. 50 lap robes,

and 5O wheelchair bags for our Veterans in Hospitals. This is a big undertaking and

we are hoping to not only get our members involved but the community as well.

We are in need of people who like to sew and have portable machines and

knitters and crocheters. We are planning a sewing B at the hall on Tuesday, March

14 at 11 am. Below is a list of items needed for this project:

VELCRO. SNAPS. BIAS TAPE, BUTTONS. THREAD. BEADS. YARN for blankets

TERRY TOWEL MATERIAL, ANTI-PULL FLEECE, SNUGGLE FLANNEL both solid print and cotton material

If you are a sewer like myself, you probably have extra material on hand or you get

the JoAnn’s flyers with coupons in that you haven't used this would be a great

time to do so and for a worthy cause.

We would appreciate any help you can give. All items can be dropped off at the

VFW Hall on Mondays 2 to 8 pm or bring  them to the Fish Fry on Friday March 31.

If you have any questions call Diane at 465-4638.

Thank you
